The Exceed Medical Microneedling device is the latest technology that is quickly replacing dermal rollers and other anti-aging methods on the market.

The Exceed Pen boasts the most stringent measures for patient safety and features a world exclusive floating treatment tip, which significantly reduces epidermal scratching that occurs with traditional treatment tips. This also makes the treatment a lot more comfortable when compared to other microneedling devices.

The adjustable needle speed of the device allows for both precision and deeper penetration – the speed can be controlled up to 150 needle penetrations per second with a depth of 0.1mm to 2mm. Alongside this, less pain and minimal downtime.

What is Microneedling?

Microneedling, a procedure designed to enhance and improve the complexion, activates the body’s natural regenerative processes to stimulate skins own collagen synthesis. Very tiny needles are used to penetrate the top layer of the skin vertically. These micropunctures cause localized and controlled damage without affecting the epidermis. This initializes the skin regeneration, reorganization and reconstruction. As a result, natural regenerative processes instigate skin rejuvenation and renewal.

Microneedling can be used to treat the following issues:

Scars (including acne scars)
Wrinkles and sagging skin

Pigment disorders

Sun damage

Visible pores

Stretch marks

Cellulite

Microneedling has been used for over 15 years to improve the complexion and visibly tighten the skin.

How does Microneedling work?

Microneedling activates the skin’s self-healing mechanisms, inducing cells to regenerate and repair themselves. The procedure essentially acts as a catalyst: as a result, the body produces collagen and elastane to smooth over irregularities.

Please be aware that the effects of microneedling are not visible immediately after the treatment, as the body needs some time to produce collagen.

Microneedling is an extremely safe and reliable procedure. Precise punctures with a professional microneedling device accelerate the healing process, as well as the body’s natural growth factors. The treatment involves little discomfort, and is gentle on the skin.

Microneedling:

Improves quality of the skin
Reduces acne scarring
Reduces stretch marks
Activates the skin to produce long-lasting results

How is Microneedling superior to other treatments?

  • Minimal risk of scarring when compared to procedures such as microdermabrasian and chemical fruit acid peeling

  • No introduction of foreign substances needed

  • The body releases natural collagen, which positively impacts treatment success

  • Use of substances can have a positive impact on the results

Are treatments bespoke?

At Aesthetics by Sian, our Microneedling treatment includes an initial consultation where we will discuss your skin goals and a full assessment of your skin will take place. We will also personalise your treatment to meet your needs. Included in our treatment price, we give you the option to include a mesotherapy serum in your treatment to further enhance your results – this is completely optional, however will be complimentary to your treatment.

How often should a microneedling treatment be carried out?

For best results, it is recommended that patients undergo four treatments depending on the indication and with intervals of four to eight weeks. After this annual refresher treatments to maintain results suffice.

When will I see results?

You will see a plumping effect almost immediately, however the natural healing process takes time. It can take a few weeks before you see significant results. The process will continue over the following months.

Am I suitable for this treatment?

- Unregulated diabetes
